Goals
The goal of the Fund is to :
- Enhance the public’s appreciation of classical music by supporting the artistic and educational programming that takes place at the Verbier Festival;
- Provide the opportunity for aspiring musicians to take part in the Verbier Festival’s renowned artist training programmes.
Activities
- Support the artistic programming at the Verbier Festival, which includes more than 60 mainstage classical music performances and 200 free and accessible concerts and events dedicated to cultural engagement and education.
- Support three artist training programmes at the Verbier Festival for more than 200 young musicians aged 15 to 35, including an Academy for soloists, singers and conductors, and two training orchestras.
- Training includes coaching and mentorship through masterclasses and rehearsals with distinguished teachers, performers and conductors as well as the opportunity for numerous public performances.

Myriad Canada is Working With
The Verbier Festival is an international classical music festival that takes place each summer in the breathtaking mountain town of Verbier, Switzerland. The Festival features seasoned soloists and nurtures young talent. The Foundation provides a partnership with the Festival’s world-renowned program and artist training activities.
Through the Verbier Festival Academy, the Verbier Festival Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra, the Festival encourages, mentors, trains and prepares a new generation of soloists, singers, chamber ensembles and orchestra musicians and conductors for professional careers in music. The Foundation of the Verbier Festival contributes to the Festival’s legacy of excellence and to the extraordinary work it undertakes in support of young musicians.
Myriad Canada’s role is to carry out charitable projects across the globe in accordance with its charitable purposes. We control and monitor the use of funds and the progress of charitable activities to ensure that donations made to Myriad Canada have the greatest impact in accordance with donors’ expressed wishes. As a member of the Myriad Alliance with offices in Canada, the US, Europe, Asia and Australia, Myriad Canada has a vast international network and extensive practical expertise.
