Context
The educational system in Mexico faces a number of challenges. The quality of education is often criticized as inadequate, and budgetary constraints and allocation problems often result in insufficient funding for the country’s education. There is a significant disparity in educational opportunities between urban and rural areas, as well as between different socio-economic groups. Teacher training and professional development vary considerably, leading to inconsistencies in the quality and effectiveness of teaching, and drop-out rates are a serious concern, particularly in secondary education.
These difficulties hinder its effectiveness and have a negative impact on students’ academic achievement and general development, particularly in the city of Puerto Vallarta in western Mexico.
Goals
The aim of the project is to support members of the Puerto Vallarta community in completing their studies and realizing their educational aspirations.
