Context
In Mae Hong Song province in Thailand, children, teachers, schools, and communities face challenges from political instability, conflict, and poverty. Schools struggle with limited resources, safety issues, and lack of support, while children and teachers face disrupted learning, unsafe conditions, and economic hardship.
Goals
The goals of this project is to provide Indigenous rural and minority children with access to quality education, promote community awareness of its value, remove financial barriers, improve health and sanitation, and support teachers with training, resources, and funding to strengthen learning outcomes.

Myriad Canada is working with Centre for Rural Education Development (CRED) on this project, a nonprofit whose mission is to provide Indigenous rural and minority children with access to quality education, promote community awareness of its value, remove financial barriers, improve health and sanitation, and support teachers with training, resources, and funding to strengthen learning outcomes. Last year alone, 398,341 students received learning materials; 23,033 teachers were trained and provided stipends; 4,325 schools leadership’ capacity were developed; and 35,384 community members participated in education events.
Myriad Canada’s role is to carry out charitable projects across the globe in accordance with its charitable purposes. We control and monitor the use of funds and the progress of charitable activities to ensure that donations made to Myriad Canada have the greatest impact in accordance with donors’ expressed wishes. As a member of the Myriad Alliance with offices in Canada, the US, Europe, Asia and Australia, Myriad Canada has a vast international network and extensive practical expertise.
