World Central Kitchen (WCK) is first to the frontlines, providing fresh meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.
When disaster strikes, hungry people cannot wait until tomorrow or next week – the urgent need is now.
A warm meal, tailored to the cultural values and recipes of the local community, brings more than nutrition and calories. It offers hope, dignity, and the reassurance that communities are not alone during times of crises.
Donations to this fund will be used to serve fresh, comforting meals to communities in crisis.

Goals
Get food directly and rapidly to communities impacted by crises worldwide, while also supporting local livelihoods, businesses, and economies.
Activities
- Deliver culturally appropriate, nourishing meals, food kits, and fresh water to people experiencing hunger caused by climate, humanitarian, or community crises;
- Partner with local community leaders and organizations to identify unmet food needs and overcome challenges;
- Put resources back into local economies by purchasing local ingredients, working with local food suppliers, vendors, distributors, and restaurants, and hiring local workers to support ongoing operations.

Myriad Canada is working with World Central Kitchen on this project. WCK is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines, providing fresh meals in response to crises. Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, their model of taking quick action, leveraging local resources, and adapting in real time has enabled WCK to serve more than 450 million nourishing, chef-prepared meals around the world.
Myriad Canada’s role is to carry out charitable projects across the globe in accordance with its charitable purposes. We control and monitor the use of funds and the progress of charitable activities to ensure that donations made to Myriad Canada have the greatest impact in accordance with donors’ expressed wishes. As a member of the Myriad Alliance with offices in Canada, the US, Europe, Asia and Australia, Myriad Canada has a vast international network and extensive practical expertise.

How to support this project
