2023: A Year of Heartfelt Giving – and Profound Impact
Another year drawing to a close is our annual reminder that time waits for no one.
Indeed, time continues its mad dash alongside an increasingly fragile world where – paradoxically – it can feel like the only actual constant is change. But Myriad Canada continues to observe two wonderful and unchanging facts: the resilience of the human spirit, and the boundless generosity of Canadians.
Thanks to your compassion and generosity, Myriad Canada’s campaigns to support individuals contending with some of 2023’s most devastating crises – including the devastating earthquakes in Turkey/Syria and Morocco, the ongoing war in Ukraine and the tragic escalation of the conflict in the Middle East – thousands of people received critical support and humanitarian relief to help them not only survive but start to rebuild their lives.
Philanthropy is driven by hope – and our dreams to change the world. Through philanthropy, art brings joy; education brings opportunity; and scientific research brings us closer to the cure. From preventing human trafficking and supporting victims in Vietnam and Romania, to building schools and supporting education in India, Nepal and Zambia; from preserving traditional crafts in the UK, to unlocking the genome for preventative oncology in rare types of cancers – your generosity propels us all towards extraordinary new frontiers.
