Myriad Canada, formerly KBF CANADA, was founded on the initiative of the King Baudouin Foundation.
For over 45 years, the King Baudouin Foundation (KBF) has been acting for the common good together with numerous partners, experts and donors. Their activities aim to foster sustainable and positive change in society, in Belgium, Europe and around the world.
Thanks to the support KBF gives, organizations and citizens are empowered to work to create a better society. KBF accompanies philanthropists and donors (individuals, companies, or organizations) wishing to take action for the common good on any continent and in any area of the general interest, notably through our founding membership of the Myriad Alliance for Borderless Giving.
The King Baudouin Foundation has at its disposal its own capital. Its independent governing bodies represent the diversity of society.

The King Baudouin Foundation has earned the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) certificate of quality for its professionalism and its ongoing quest for excellence.
The King Baudouin Foundation’s international network is highly developed, with partners in numerous countries. KBF is present in Belgium, throughout Europe, and elsewhere in the world. It spearheads several initiatives in Africa, including the King Baudouin African Development Prize, and various programs in the fields of education, the fight against poverty, health, and governance in Central Africa.
KBF is a founding member of the European Foundation Center, the Network of European Foundations, the European Venture Philanthropy Association, Myriad Europe, a leading actor in cross-border philanthropy in Europe, Africa and beyond, as well as a founding member of Transnational Giving Europe, a network that has 21 partner countries. KBF is a strategic partner of the European Policy Center, one of Europe’s leading think tanks.
