At the end of February 2022, Myriad Canada launched an Ukraine Emergency Fund, in response to the tragic humanitarian crisis affecting the country. In 2024, 14.6 million people will need humanitarian aid in Ukraine according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
Contributions will be distributed to projects implemented by World Central Kitchen (WCK), which works on the front line of the conflict.
WCK has been on the ground serving hot, nourishing meals at the Poland-Ukraine border since February 24, 2022, with teams also mobilizing in Ukraine, Romania, Moldavia, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain and Germany. WCK serves numerous cities and areas, and remains ready to expand their operations as the situation evolves.
